Follow Up Materials

As part of the Delivery Room Management trial, we prospectively planned to evaluate survival and developmental outcome at 18 to 24 months corrected age by contacting parents or guardians with a telephone survey.

We have created and tested a 23 question survey in our Extremely Low Birth Weight Follow Up Project; the Parental Interview and Reporting Questionnaire (PIRQ).

Before the DRM Parental Interview and Reporting Questionnaire is used to collect data, each participating center must inform their local Institutional Review Board that we are entering this phase of the study, and supply them with copies of the PIRQ script and data forms. This process is detailed in the manual of operations.
